Vis – a Polish semi-automatic pistol wz.35, designed by Piotr Wilniewczyc, Jan Skrzypinski and Feliks Modzelewski. The original name of the WiS gun, created from the first letters of the constructors’ names, was changed to Vis (Latin – strength) at the request of the Armament Department. According to some sources (including the magazine Guns & Ammo), this gun is one of the best military pistols ever made.
