Orange Afterburners For Jets
First, use the “Afterburners for Add-On Planes” mod from mod author “bringa”.
Because you need it in order to have afterburners on non native jets (from mods).
This mod is just a color changing. It’s simple as it can be. I’m not a professional modder.
This is my first mod.
INSTALLATION:
Activate edit mode on OpenIV (otherwise the mod won’t apply), make a copy of your update.rpf file (if you haven’t already) and paste the core.ypt on these three files:
[ Backup the original core.ypt file before overwriting it ]
Update/update.rpf/X64/patch/data/effects/ptfx.rpf, ptfx_lo.rpf, and ptfx_hi.rpf
Done.
In case you have the F-22 Raptor Add-on from SkylineGTRFreak, you’ll have to do the following to get its afterburner to work with the recommended mod:
Open the F-22 script on the “Afterburners for Add-On Planes” (using notepad), find the first line where it says “hash” (ex: 0xAndsomenumbers) and overwrite it with this hash: 2061630439. Only works for the F-22 Add-on version as far as I know.
