NPC Wanted & Arrests 0.1 (beta)

GTA 5 Mods |

NPC Wanted & Arrests 0.1 (beta)

Assign a wanted suspect report to any kind of NPC (ped) through Los Santos and let police units engage the targeted persons. NPCs will be randomly assigned a crime they committed. This way you can assign innocent peds, peds that annoying you or enemies as a wanted suspect to disrupt them.

Despite the name ‘Wanted & Arrests’, an arrest funciotnality isn’t included yet since it had too many bugs in it. This is a feature for a next version.

Features
– Peds will be assigned a random crime type and a randomized amount of police units will respond and engage the peds.
– You can select one or multiple peds at once to issue a wanted report on them.
– Some peds will be innocent, but some are dangerous by default and might start attacking the cops with random weapons.
– A random amount of police units will respond to a single ped.
– After a ped has been eliminated, cops will return to default game AI behaviour (e.g. return to patrol, or taking a look at the scene).
– Responding officers will be shown on the map with a small blue dot.
– Includes custom dispatch sounds, edited by me.
– Ability to configure your own keybindings for the controls. See controls below.

Requirements & Installation
– ScripthookV: http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
– .NET Framework 4.8 and above

Copy all files and folders from the ZIP into your ‘scripts’ folder, located in your GTA 5 directory.

Controls
By default, you can press Numpad 0 to enable ped selection mode. If the selection mode is active, walk closely to a ped or peds you want to mark as wanted. When you see a marker above them, press ‘B’ to issue the wanted report.

You can configure your own keybindings in the INI configuration file.

Known Issues
In some rare cases existing units wouldn’t be cleaned up. Normally, if peds are eliminated and/or you’ll get out of range, existing units should be cleaned up.

Compatibility
There’s no known compatibility with this mod for other police related mods. There’s a possibility running multiple police mods at once can override their behaviour. This isn’t tested.

Future improvements
– At least adding an arrest functionality for the AI to arrest NPCs, let them walk to the police car, or something like that.
– Fixing bugs
– Maybe more, depending on your requests.
